At Bank of Asia, PCL, we place the customers’
trust and the privacy of their personal information in high regards. In
order to reassure our customers that they can be confidence in our products
and services, as well as our commitment to offer the products and services
that best match our customers’ needs, we would like to present our privacy
policy as follows:
- BOA will keep the information that the customers
inform us securely and confidentially with respect to our standard privacy
of information protection to prevent damage or unauthorized access to
the customers’ private information.
- BOA has installed multi-layers of security
systems both in hardware and software levels in accordance to the international
standard. BOA has also developed additional security measures to enhance
security and customer’s confidence, such as requesting for password
before the customers can conduct banking transaction on-line.
- BOA has a process to preserve the integrity
of the customers’ information to ensure the customers that their information
are correct, up-to-date, and as complete as possible. But if the customers
request for the changes of their personal information, BOA also has
a systematic approach to correct such inaccurate information.
- The customers can visit BOA’s web site (http://www.bankasia4U.com)
to access general information regarding BOA and BOA products and services
24 hours per day, 7 days a week without having to provide personal information
to gain access.
- The customers can gain access to their own
personal information on-line only after they go through an authentication
process and the customer identity has been verified by our authentication
- BOA may request for additional information from
the customers only when necessary. For example, we may ask for the customers’
opinion on BOA products and services in order to use such information
to formulate new products and services as well as improve existing ones
to better serve the customers.
- BOA may request for customer’s information
from the customers through various processes, such as the process to
apply for BOA products and services. If BOA has the need to update the
customer information, BOA will contact the customer directly (e.g. via
telephone) in order to ensure that the customer’s information is as
accurate and up-to-date as possible.
- BOA preserves the right to use certain customer
information as well as various analytical tools to collect and analyze
customers’ needs and behavior in order to design, develop, and improve
existing products and services as well as to offer special promotion
to match varieties of the customers’ needs.
- BOA preserves the right to use customers’ e-mail
addresses and e-mail addresses of visitors to our web site as a way
to inform them about our news and promotions.
- BOA will not give or sell the customer information
to an outsider or other organizations in all cases, for the exception
of the following:
- The customers has request and authorize
the release of the information, or
- The information is requested by a reputable
Credit Assessment Agencies, or
- The release of information is permitted
by law or in accordance to the legal procedure, such as the information
was requested by the court’s order or by the authorized government
agencies (e.g. Bank of Thailand).
- In case when BOA has made an agreement to outsource
to a person or an external organization to maintain and develop some
systems or processes, the outsourcer must agree to preserve the privacy
of customer information in accordance to BOA standards.
- BOA will always commit to and practice this
policy in our operations.
